DESCRIPTION:Join the East London Shakespeare Festival on the Tea Lawn at Lauderdale House on Wednesdays 15 July & Thursday 16 July for a family-friendly outdoor production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.\n\nPacked with comedy\, romance\, music and magic\, this fresh retelling of Shakespeare’s much-loved play follows four young lovers and a mischievous band of fairies through an enchanted forest where nothing goes to plan. Bring a picnic blanket or chair and enjoy an entertaining summer evening in the beautiful surroundings of Waterlow Park. Younger members of the audience (3+) can get in the spirit at a ‘flower-fairy’ headband making workshop\, run by cast members before the show.

The overall winner of the competition will be awarded with their own free solo exhibition at Lauderdale House! \nEntry fee: £3 per print \nEntrants will be notified of the outcome of their submission on or after Wednesday 14 July \nCategories\nAs always\, you can submit your work in one of two categories: \nOpen – This category is open to prints of any subject matter. \nThemed – This years theme is ‘Cherished Memories’. DESCRIPTION:Back for its 4th year\, we welcome any young people aged 25 & under to enter our Young Photographers Competition!\nThis is a competition for photographers aged 25 & under. This is a free-to-enter competition\, with submissions sent digitally. \nThe theme for this year is Everyday Life (to be interpreted however you see fit!) and is limited to one submission per person with a chance to be included in our Young Photographers exhibition taking place in the Courtyard this August. We will print and frame the selected works which will be on display from Wednesday 29 July – Monday 24 August. The finalists and overall winner of the competition will be announced at the private view on Wednesday 29 July from 7.30 – 9.30pm. \nTo enter this category\, please read over the rules and send your entry via the link below by Friday 10 July. \nSubmit via email \nOver 25? Check out our Photography Competition. \n———- \nPlease read the rules below carefully before making a submission. \nThis category is open for entrants aged 25 & under. \nOnly digital admissions are accepted\, and must be emailed via the link above with ‘Young Photographers Competition’ as the subject\, along with your full name\, age and the title of your work. \nOur judges will select a number of works to be included in our Courtyard exhibition. Lauderdale House will print and frame the images. After the exhibition\, you are welcome to collect your unframed printed image from the House from Wednesday 26 August and Tuesday 16 September\, on weekdays 11am – 4pm\, or by prior arrangement with the office.\nEntries must be submitted as a .jpeg file. \nThe deadline for submissions is Sunday 12 July. \nThere will be more than one judge and the judges’ decision will be final. \nAll entrants agree that Lauderdale House may use their photos for the promotion of the competition this year and in the future.
