
This only includes incidents that Newsquest London is aware of and has reported on.
The attacks unfolded between January 26 and 27 in Ilford, Crystal Palace and Carshalton.
There is no indication that they are connected and each information is from the Metropolitan Police.
Man in hospital after daylight stabbing outside town hall in Ilford
The emergency services were first called to a stabbing on Ilford High Road at around 4.20pm on January 26.
A male victim was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.
His condition is not yet known, nor if there have been any arrests.
The incident left blood spatters outside Ilford Town Hall with forensics scouring the area for evidence late into the evening.
A witness said they saw “forensics everywhere and numbers placed down all over Ilford where blood splatters were found”.
Man suffers life-changing injuries after shooting in Crystal Palace
Around six hours later in Crystal Palace, a man was seriously hurt after being shot by a group of men.
Police were called to a flat on Hamlet Road at around 10pm on January 27.
Officers believe that a man in his 20s who lives in the flat was attacked by three men with a gun.
Another man in his 20s later came to the flat and was shot before the group fled the scene in a car.
Both victims were taken to hospital. The man who was shot has “life-changing injuries”, while the other victim’s injuries are less serious.
Woman found dead at home with murder investigation launched
Early the next morning and less than three miles from the stabbing in Ilford, police found a woman dead in her home.
Police made the tragic discovery at the property on Applegarth Drive at around 4am on January 27.
A 57-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and remains in custody.
Police believe they know who the woman is, but have not yet been able to find her next-of-kin.
Detective Inspector Nikki Hardy said: “We acknowledge the distress this news is likely to cause in the local community, and are working hard to establish exactly what happened.”
Boy, 17, taken to hospital after stabbing near Carshalton park
A 17-year-old boy has been taken to hospital after a stabbing near a park in Carshalton.
The incident happened in High Street near Grove Park just before 1.50pm on January 27.
Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found a boy with a slash wound to his stomach.
He was taken to hospital for treatment where his condition is unknown at this stage.
No arrests have been made.
